Fifth Belarusian People's Assembly took place in Minsk

One of the most important political events of the year - the fifth All-Belarusian People's Assembly - took place on June 22-23, 2016. It marked the end of the previous five-year period of development of the country and the beginning of a new stage in the life of state and society.
In total, the work of the forum was attended by 2.5 thousand delegates from all regions of Belarus (by 350 people from the area, 400 people - from Minsk). About 150 guests, almost 100 - from abroad (there were well-known foreign politicians, representatives of international organizations, heads of foreign diplomatic missions, members of the Belarusian diaspora associations), were invited.
The event was held under the slogan "Together - for strong and prosperous Belarus!".
The meeting held a substantive debate on the outcome of the implementation of the Programme of socio-economic development of Belarus in the last five years, as well as on the development plans of the country for 2016-2020 years.
