Open Joint Stock Company "Giprosvjaz" (hereinafter - OJSC "Giprosvjaz") was established by the order of Minsk Territorial State Property Fund May 26, 2009 № 53 and the determination of Minsk City Executive Committee June 12, 2009 by reorganization of Design and Research Republican Unitary Enterprise "Giprosvjaz" under the laws of the Republic of Belarus on the state property privatization.

OJSC "Giprosvjaz" is the successor to the rights and responsibilities UE "Giprosvjaz" under the deed of assignment, except the rights and obligations which cannot be owned by Open Joint Stock Company.

OJSC "Giprosvjaz" is the leading organization for:

• the design of networks and communication systems;
• research work;
• scientific support of the communication field.

OJSC "Giprosvjaz" is the parent organization for:

• Standardization;
• Certification;
• Metrology.

Research and testing laboratories of OJSC "Giprosvjaz":

• perform research, design and development, other scientific-technical works associated with the development, production, implementation and testing of systems and communications facilities
• develop regulations, techniques for metering electrical parameters of communications facilities
• conduct examination telecommuniction specifications and other documentation at the communications facilities

OJSC "Giprosvjaz" participates in the fulfilment of annual plans of state and branch standardization for the development of national standards and management directives, development and revision of other normative and methodical documents in the field of communication.

Within the international scientific technical cooperation, OJSC "Giprosvjaz" has been working on the preparation of proposals for adopting a position the Administration of Communications of the Republic of Belarus in international fora. Specialists implemented the work of translating and publishing a number of recommendations of the Telecommunication Standardization Sector International Telecommunications Union (ITU-T) by order of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

The company provides reference and information, subscription, methodical, consulting services for enterprise communications and other organizations in a wide range of areas in information and communication technologies.

Giprosvjaz publishes scientific and production journal "Vesnik Suvyazi".

The company, founded in 1968, has a long tradition and experience in designing system and communication facilities, scientific prognostication and justification of the main directions of long-term scientific and technical policy in the field of communications, in the development of goal-oriented programs and their support, in the confirmation correspondence tools and communication service requirements of technical regulations legal acts of the Republic of Belarus.
